We are Bronte Glen Ltd, a UK-based textile manufacturer and processing services provider since 1985.
We have been passionate about textiles and processing machines since starting out in the wool market and have since expanded into a complete range of technical textile processing services.
We have the capabilities to process both large and small quantities of fibre, either provided by the customer or which we can source from our own suppliers.
Using our knowledge and experience of machines and fibres, we can undertake a bespoke processing service to fit your or your end user's requirements.
From traditional carding machines from the 1950s to up-to-date programmable machines built in the last 5 years, whatever your processing needs, we can advise, sample, and supply on demand.

We also aim to supply a wide range of high-quality fibres at the best price you’ll find when dealing directly with the manufacturer. The majority of our fibres are sourced in England and are processed at our working mill in Yorkshire.

Technical Textiles Processing Services We Offer
Thanks to our working mill, we're able to offer a range of processing services to provide you or your business with the finest wool and synthetic fibres in the country. Many of these fibres are made from English wool for a truly made-in-the-UK product.
The processing services we offer include...
Blending & Opening of Fibres
We complete the fine opening and blending as required with the help of traditional Shirley Wheel and Moor Clean machines before the fibres are moved on for further processing.
Commission Carding Services
We have significant carding capacity, with eight carding machines ranging from vintage 1951 models to modern, computer-controlled machines from 2020.
Our carding capabilities include but are not limited to processing wools, polyesters and various specialised aramid fibres into slivers.
We have expanded our carding capabilities to be able to be able to process fibres such as:
- Wool
- Polyesters
- Alpaca
- Camel
- Cashmere
- Nettle
Most recently, we've been able to expand our carding services to niche innovative materials such as:
- Bamboo
- Banana
- Pineapple
Three of our machines are dedicated to the carding of polyester, enabling an output capacity of 12,000kg per week.
In addition to this, we also blend and card tweedose fibre for spinning and neps.
Quality Fibres We Keep in Stock
Alongside our commission processing, we keep a large stock of wool fillings and polyester fibres on site available to despatch as required. These fillings are ideal for bedding and apparel.

NepsOur small family company originally started by supplying local spinning companies with materials for manufacturing hand-knitting and machine-knitting yarn, or neps. We provide neps in various stages for further processing;

At Bronte Glen, we also specialise in manufacturing high-quality home textiles and upholstery items and luxurious dog beds, utilising our meticulously processed fibres.
Our home upholstery products are crafted to elevate the comfort and aesthetic of any living space, while our luxury dog beds are designed with both style and canine comfort in mind.

UK & International – Small OrdersSmall retail and trade orders, both within the UK and internationally, are typically dispatched within 24 hours via Parcelforce, UK Mail, and DHL. We offer a drop-ship service for direct delivery to your customer should you require it. |
Large UK Trade OrdersTo ensure the most efficient service for larger trade orders in our surrounding area, we have two modern vans covering a 200-mile radius of our mill. For customers further away, orders are sent palletised via the pallet networks. |
European DeliveriesFor European deliveries, we use international transport companies that offer DAP (Delivered at Place) or DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) services, ensuring no customs or import duties for the receiver. For larger orders, we provide part–load and full–load services, as well as container shipments for overseas destinations. |
