With decades of experience in wool blending, carding, and fibre processing, we provide a complete, end-to-end service for natural and technical fibres. From fibre intake to final packing, our flexible machinery and skilled team allow us to handle both traditional and modern textile requirements with exceptional consistency and care.
All fibre is received by the truckload and unloaded into our facility under strict quality control procedures. Each delivery is:
Booked in and recorded
Visually inspected for damage or contamination
Re-weighed for accuracy
The fibre bales are then stored in our modern warehouse, ensuring optimal conditions before processing begins.
Bales and fibre components are transferred to our fibre blending department, where they are opened, blended, and prepared for carding.
A specialist carding oil/lubricant is applied to:
Reduce dust levels
Prevent static build-up
Improve fibre handling and carding efficiency
For single fibre types or batches, fibres are blended once and transferred directly to a holding bin ready for carding. For multi-fibre blends, materials are blended in stages to achieve precise ratios and consistent results. Blending is typically carried out in 250 kg lots to maintain fibre condition and moisture balance.
We operate a diverse fleet of 10 carding machines, ranging from traditional machines dating back to the 1950s to state-of-the-art, computer-controlled carding systems installed in 2022. This unique combination allows us to tailor the carding process to the fibre type and end use.
Our carding outputs include:
Ideal for:
Gilling
Sliver knitting
Spinning into yarn
Used in:
Pillows and cushions
Mattresses and upholstery
Saddle reflocking for equestrian applications
We also operate specialist carding equipment that produces balled fibre for premium bedding manufacturers.
We are widely recognised for our expertise in natural balled fibre production, particularly wool. Our range includes:
Wool balled fibre
Wool/cashmere blends
Silk

We also supply a high-quality polyester cluster fibre for filling applications.
In addition, we manufacture wool nepps, wool knopps, and viscose neps, widely used in spinning and specialty yarn production to add texture, character, and visual interest.
Our fibre cutting department is equipped with three high-precision cutting machines, capable of cutting fibres from 3 mm up to 120 mm.
This service is ideal for:
Reducing fibre waste from pile fabrics
Preparing fibres for cotton-system spinning
Technical textiles and specialist applications
The carded sliver is passed through the gilling process, aligning fibres and equalising weight to produce a uniform, high-quality sliver suitable for further processing or spinning.
The finished sliver or roving is formed into 10 kg bumps (tops), ready for packaging, storage, or onward processing.
All fibre products are packed to customer specification and prepared for safe storage or shipment, ensuring quality is maintained right through to delivery.
